01144-55 Latex protective gloves, 5.5, white, (latex paint)
We often recommend white and blue latex protective gloves for other medicine and hospitals. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex protective gloves, as whole latex protective gloves or sections of latex protective gloves can be found quickly and easily.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is a substance that can be obtained naturally from rubber trees and used for manufacturing single-use gloves - unlike nitrile or vinyl, which are made from synthetic raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural characteristics, so latex protective gloves fit the hand smoothly and are extremely comfortable to wear. That is why these single-use gloves (and finger cots) are used in sectors where latex protective gloves are worn for numerous processes and daily tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's offices and in nursing homes, and also to some degree in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex disposable gloves in material thickness: "strong"
Thanks to the very thick material, which measures in at at least 0.16 mm thick, these strong products are more secure and less likely to rip, even when worn for a long time or subjected to extreme strain or demanding tasks. The breakthrough time is also considerably higher than with an ultra-thin, thin or medium-strength product of identical material.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex disposable gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very reliable basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or impressive "premium" quality. The powder-free, sterile, disposable glove is hand specific (L/R) (can be used on either hand). It has no extra length, which means it does not provide splash protection. These single-use gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex gloves have first-rate slip-proof properties and are ideal when working with slippery tools or materials. This product features the special characteristic "extra grip". The Latex gloves deliver real added value because they protect the user against potentially fatal hazards or irreversible adverse health effects, as they fulfil the requirements for category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they protect the skin from hazardous substances and compounds and offer protection from cuts. These latex protective gloves are categorised as class IIa medical devices. This class encompasses medical devices or products that are intended for invasive use and that pose only a moderate risk to patients. Naturally, latex disposable gloves can be included in strictly sterile equipment, as they are sterile themselves. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the highest permitted number of defective (permeable) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For disposable medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability not exceeding 1.5 is prescribed in the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex gloves fulfil exactly. Protection from microorganisms is a primary feature of these single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex gloves provide chemical protection (chemical protection type C) against penetration as defined by the EN 374 standard. EN 374 sets the minimum penetration time for a certain period of time and for a certain number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. What's more, the latex gloves are airtight and watertight. We therefore recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: other medicine and hospitals. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is highly supple and strong.
- Latex provides excellent tactile sensitivity.
- It also provides protection against a wide range of acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex as a hand protection material
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price cannot be ruled out, as latex is a natural raw material that depends on harvest quantities and market prices.
- Latex disposable gloves are known for triggering allergies because they contain water-soluble proteins that might aggravate the mucous membranes of the respiratory system, particularly in the case of powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Latex protective gloves and finger cots are not suitable for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can immediately permeate the material.
