01035-3 Latex finger cots, M, white
Latex disposable gloves and finger cots are - in contrast to vinyl or nitrile - products that come directly from nature. This is because the latex used in disposable gloves is harvested directly from rubber trees. Thanks to its outstanding physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is currently no true substitute for natural latex. Therefore, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.
These finger cots from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very solid basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or impressive "premium" quality. The finger cots are ambidextrous (can be worn on the left or the right hand). These latex disposable gloves are only suitable for non-sterile use. We therefore recommend latex protective gloves for these sectors: industry and the food industry. Latex disposable gloves: The benefits of latex
- The biggest advantage of natural latex as a material is its incredible elasticity and tear resistance.
- Latex is pleasant to wear and has very little impact on tactile sensitivity.
- Latex gloves and finger cots also protect the skin from numerous acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex in protecting the hands
- Crop yields and commodity prices have a direct effect on the market price of latex, which can be inconsistent and volatile as a result.
- If worn often, latex is more likely to cause allergies because of the water-soluble proteins it contains. Latex disposable gloves are not suitable for allergy sufferers. The powder on powdered latex gloves is also a potential hazard because it can irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
- Latex disposable gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, therefore, they should not be used for handling such substances.
