The properties of nitrile disposable gloves
Nitrile examination gloves are dependably resistant to oils and greases, and they additionally offer reliable protection against solvents, chemicals, germs and viruses. The material's special structure makes it very supple. It fits the wearer's hand snugly. Since synthetic rubber is completely free from allergenic proteins, it is the perfect alternative to natural latex for people with sensitive skin. This is why nitrile gloves are often used in clinics and health care facilities, care homes for the elderly and infirm, and in doctors' or dentists' surgeries. And the positive properties of nitrile are also beneficial in food production and processing, minor cleaning jobs, the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and in hairdressing, cosmetics and tattoo studios.Nitrile gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this single-use product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), making it less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is significantly sturdier and harder-wearing than thinner items made of this material.Quality of the nitrile disposable gloves
These nitrile gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very consistent basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be worn on either hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not offer splash protection. These single-use gloves are fingertip textured. Fingertip textured nitrile exam gloves have excellent non-slip properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery tools or materials. As category III personal protective equipment in line with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they provide protection from health risks that are irreversible or potentially fatal. The fact that these disposable gloves are labelled as a class I medical device means they pose little or no risk to wearers or patients, as the nitrile exam gloves have no impact on the body when worn briefly. These nitrile exam gloves are only intended for non-sterile use. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the highest allowed number of faulty (permeable) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For single-use medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability not to exceed 1.5 is required by the EN 455-1 standard - which the Nitrile exam gloves fulfil precisely. We recommend nitrile examination gloves for these applications
Nitrile gloves are particularly suitable for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food and, consequently, are approved for food handling in general. The nitrile exam gloves offer protection from microorganisms and are consequently impervious to viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B indicates that the nitrile examination gloves provide protection against permeation according to the crucial EN 374 standard. It defines the minimum penetration time for a certain number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. We therefore recommend nitrile gloves for these sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, other medicine, industry, close-contact services, hospitals and the food industry. If you have any questions about the possible applications of these nitrile gloves or are wondering if they are the right solution for your requirements, please feel free to contact us via the contact form!- Nitrile is highly elastic; it can be stretched to more than 500% of its base measurements. One especially unique feature: nitrile has a kind of "material memory", meaning that it conforms to the shape of the hand.
- It offers an optimal grip and is less prone to puncturing than alternative materials, making it safer.
- In addition, nitrile provides good chemical resistance. Because it is protein-free, nitrile is an excellent option for latex allergy sufferers.
