01037-S Latex gloves, S, white
We recommend blue and white latex disposable gloves for occupational safety, government authorities, education, hospitals, other medicine, industry, close-contact services and the food industry. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex disposable gloves, as complete latex disposable gloves or sections of latex disposable gloves can be found quickly and easily.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is obtained from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing single-use gloves. Its exceptional characteristics ensure comfortable wear. For this reason, there is not yet a suitable replacement for latex, despite extensive research into alternative materials. Latex gloves are frequently used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex disposable gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is of medium thickness, measuring in at between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm. This makes it more puncture-resistant than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot of the same material. This single-use glove/finger cot is significantly stronger and longer-lasting than thinner products composed of this material.Quality of the latex disposable gloves
These latex gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very consistent basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not provide splash protection. These disposable gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grip" is a special feature of these latex protective gloves. As category III personal protective equipment in line with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they protect the user from health risks that are irreversible or potentially fatal. Latex disposable gloves are categorised as class I medical devices. This class includes medical items or products that have no impact on the body and usually pose very little risk. These latex protective gloves are only approved for non-sterile use. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the largest permitted number of defective (leaky) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For disposable medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability of a maximum of 1.5 is required by the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex protective gloves fulfil precisely. Our suggestions for how latex gloves should be used
Latex disposable gloves are particularly suitable for acidic food, dry food and watery food and, consequently, are intended for food handling in general. Protection from microorganisms is a main characteristic of these single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B signifies that the latex protective gloves offer protection from penetration in accordance with the important EN 374 standard. This states the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of particular test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. Consequently, we recommend latex disposable gloves for the following sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, hospitals, other medicine, industry, close-contact services and the food industry. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is extremely supple and durable.
- Latex is comfortable on the skin and has almost no noticeable impact on tactile sensitivity.
- Latex gloves and finger cots also protect the wearer from numerous acids and alkalis.
The disadvantages of latex
- Crop yields and raw material prices have an immediate impact on the market price of latex, which can be variable and unstable as a result.
- Latex disposable gloves are known as a potential trigger for allergy sufferers because they contain water-soluble proteins that could irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory system, especially in the case of powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Latex protective gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, consequently, they are not intended for handling these substances.
