01030-XS Latex disposable gloves, XS, white, (latex paint)
We recommend blue and white latex gloves for other medicine, industry, hospitals, close-contact services, the food industry, education, government authorities and occupational safety. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex gloves, as complete latex gloves or sections of latex gloves can be found quickly and without much effort.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is harvested from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in producing single-use gloves. Its outstanding properties guarantee comfortable wear. For this reason, there is not yet a suitable replacement for latex, despite extensive research into alternative materials. Latex gloves are primarily found in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is somewhat thicker - this disposable product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), meaning that it is more puncture-resistant than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is considerably sturdier and more durable than thinner products composed of this material.Quality of the latex gloves
These latex disposable gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are "premium" quality. AMPri exclusively offers products of either a very consistent basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or impressive "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not offer splash protection. These single-use gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex disposable gloves have excellent slip-proof properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery instruments or materials. "Extra grip" is a special feature of these latex protective gloves. As category III personal protective equipment in accordance with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they provide protection from health hazards that are permanent or potentially fatal. The fact that these disposable gloves are rated as a class I medical device means they pose little or no risk to wearers or patients, as the latex disposable gloves have no effect on the body when worn for brief periods. These latex disposable gloves are only designated for non-sterile applications. The production quality can be determined by the AQL value, i.e. the acceptable quality level. For disposable medical gloves, the AQL is 1.5 or less, which is exactly what these latex protective gloves meet. Our recommendations for how latex disposable gloves should be used
These latex gloves are approved for handling food. They are especially useful for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food. The latex disposable gloves provide protection from microorganisms, meaning that they are resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. We therefore recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: other medicine, industry, hospitals, close-contact services, the food industry, education, government authorities and occupational safety. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex gloves or are unsure if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!Latex gloves: The advantages of latex
- Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is very flexible and hard-wearing.
- The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
- Latex protective gloves and finger cots are impervious to a broad range of acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex in protecting the hands
- As a natural material, latex is tied to harvest quantities and commodity prices. This can result in price fluctuations.
- Latex gloves are known as allergenic because they contain water-soluble proteins that might irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory system, particularly in the case of powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Oils and solvents can immediately penetrate latex protective gloves and finger cots, so latex is not intended for handling such substances.
