01039-XS Latex protective gloves, XS, white
We tend to recommend white and blue latex protective gloves for other medicine, hospitals, the food industry, industry, government authorities, occupational safety, close-contact services and education. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex protective gloves, as whole latex protective gloves or sections of latex protective gloves are easy to find quickly.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is a substance that can be extracted naturally from rubber trees and used for making single-use gloves - unlike nitrile or vinyl, which are made from artificial raw materials. Latex also has excellent natural properties, so latex protective gloves fit the hand smoothly and are very comfortable to wear. That is why these single-use gloves (and finger cots) are used in sectors where latex protective gloves are worn for many processes and daily tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's offices and in care facilities, and also to a certain degree in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex disposable gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this single-use product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), meaning that it is more puncture-resistant than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is significantly sturdier and more durable than thinner products composed of this material.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex protective gloves from the Basic-Plus brand are "basic" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very solid basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be used on the left or the right hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not offer splash protection. These disposable gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex disposable gloves have first-rate slip-proof properties and are the right choice for working with slippery tools or materials. The Latex gloves deliver real added value because they protect against potentially fatal hazards or irreversible adverse health effects, as they fulfil the criteria for category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they protect the skin from harmful substances and compounds and offer protection against cuts. Latex protective gloves are categorised as class I medical devices. This class encompasses medical items or products that have no effect on the body and generally pose very little risk. These latex disposable gloves are only approved for non-sterile use. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the largest permitted number of defective (permeable) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For single-use medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability not exceeding 1.5 is required by the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex disposable gloves adhere to precisely. We recommend latex disposable gloves for these applications
Latex disposable gloves are especially appropriate for acidic food, dry food and watery food and, consequently, are intended for food handling in general. Protection from microorganisms is a main characteristic of these single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex disposable gloves provide chemical protection (chemical protection type B) against penetration in accordance with the EN 374 standard. EN 374 sets the minimum penetration time for a defined length of time and for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. In addition, the latex disposable gloves are airtight and watertight. We therefore recommend latex protective gloves for the following sectors: other medicine, hospitals, the food industry, industry, government authorities, occupational safety, close-contact services and education. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex protective gloves or are unsure if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!Latex protective gloves: The advantages of latex
- The biggest advantage of natural latex as a material is its enormous elasticity and tear resistance.
- Latex provides good tactile sensitivity.
- It also protects against many acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex as a hand protection material
- As a natural material, latex relies on harvest quantities and raw material prices. This can result in fluctuations in price.
- Latex disposable gloves are known as allergenic because they contain water-soluble proteins that might irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, particularly in the case of powdered disposable gloves or finger cots.
- Latex protective gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, as a result, they are not intended for handling such substances.
