01030-XL Latex gloves, XL, white
We often recommend white and blue latex gloves for occupational safety, government authorities, education, the food industry, close-contact services, hospitals, industry and other medicine. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex gloves, as whole latex gloves or sections of latex gloves can be found quickly and without much effort.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is a substance that can be extracted naturally from rubber trees and used for producing single-use gloves - unlike nitrile or vinyl, which are made from synthetic raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural properties, so latex protective gloves fit the hand snugly and are very comfortable to wear. Consequently, these single-use gloves (and finger cots) are used in areas where latex protective gloves are worn for many processes and everyday tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's surgeries and in care homes, and also to some degree in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex disposable gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
With a material thickness between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm, a finger cot or disposable glove of medium thickness is less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot of identical material. This single-use glove/finger cot is considerably sturdier and longer-lasting than thinner items composed of this material.Quality of the latex gloves
These latex gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be worn on the left or the right hand). It has no extra length, which means it does not provide splash protection. The latex gloves gloves are fully textured, meaning they have a significantly better grip than other non-textured or partially textured disposable gloves. This product features the special characteristic "extra grip". As category III personal protective equipment as defined by the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they protect the user from health risks that are permanent or potentially fatal. In addition, the latex gloves have a CE marking that labels them as a class I medical device. This category mainly includes products that have no impact on the human body and pose minimal risk. These latex protective gloves are only intended for non-sterile applications. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the highest allowed number of faulty (permeable) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For disposable medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability of a maximum of 1.5 is prescribed in the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex disposable gloves adhere to precisely. We recommend latex gloves for these applications
These latex gloves are appropriate for handling food. They are especially useful for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food. The latex disposable gloves offer protection from microorganisms and are therefore impervious to viruses, bacteria and fungi. We therefore recommend latex protective gloves for these sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, the food industry, close-contact services, hospitals, industry and other medicine. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is extremely flexible and hard-wearing.
- The tactile sensitivity is excellent.
- It also keeps the skin safe from numerous acids and alkalis.
Latex disposable gloves: the disadvantages of latex
- Unfortunately, volatile prices are always a possibility, as latex is a natural raw material reliant on harvest quantities and market prices.
- Latex disposable gloves are known as allergenic because they contain water-soluble proteins that might irritate the respiratory tract, particularly in the case of powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Latex disposable gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, therefore, they are not approved for handling such substances.
