01030-M Latex gloves, M, white
We recommend blue and white latex disposable gloves for occupational safety, government authorities, education, the food industry, close-contact services, hospitals, industry and other medicine. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex disposable gloves, as whole latex disposable gloves or sections of latex disposable gloves can be found quickly and easily.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex gloves and finger cots are - unlike disposable gloves made of vinyl or nitrile - completely natural products. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is harvested directly from rubber trees. Thanks to its outstanding physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is currently no true substitute for natural latex. Therefore, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex protective gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this disposable product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), making it more resistant to punctures than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is much sturdier and more durable than thinner items composed of this material.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex disposable gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are "premium" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or impressive "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not provide splash protection. These single-use gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex disposable gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are ideal when working with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grip" is a special attribute of these latex gloves. The Latex disposable gloves deliver significant added value because they protect the user against potentially fatal hazards or permanent damage to health, as they meet the criteria for category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they protect the skin from hazardous substances and compounds and offer protection from cuts. Medical devices are categorised in terms of the potential risk they pose to the patient. Class I comprises products that pose little or no risk. And exactly those criteria are fulfilled by these latex disposable gloves. These latex protective gloves are only intended for non-sterile applications. The production quality can be determined by the AQL value, i.e. the acceptable quality level. For disposable medical gloves, the AQL is 1.5 or less, which is exactly what these latex disposable gloves meet. Our recommendations for how latex protective gloves should be used
These latex gloves are appropriate for handling food. They are particularly useful for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food. The latex disposable gloves offer protection from microorganisms and are therefore resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. We therefore recommend latex disposable gloves for the following sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, the food industry, close-contact services, hospitals, industry and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex disposable gloves or are unsure if they are the right solution for your requirements, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via the contact form! The advantages of latex in protecting the skin
- Latex is a wholly natural product and is highly elastic.
- The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
- Latex gloves and finger cots are impervious to a wide variety of acids and alkalis.
Latex gloves: the disadvantages of latex
- As a natural material, latex is dependent on harvest quantities and commodity prices. This can cause fluctuations in price.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in latex can trigger allergies if the gloves are worn frequently. Alongside the latex products themselves, the powder on the latex protective gloves or finger cots (powdered version) is also a major allergen.
- Latex disposable gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, therefore, they are not intended for handling such substances.
