01030-L Latex protective gloves, L, white, (latex paint)
We recommend blue and white latex disposable gloves for other medicine, industry, hospitals, close-contact services, the food industry, education, government authorities and occupational safety. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex disposable gloves, as whole latex disposable gloves or sections of latex disposable gloves can be found quickly and easily.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex protective gloves and finger cots are - unlike disposable gloves made of vinyl or nitrile - completely natural products. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is harvested directly from rubber trees. Thanks to its exceptional physical properties and comfortable fit, there is presently no true replacement for natural latex. Therefore, the main fields of use for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a more affordable alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this single-use product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), meaning that it is less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is significantly stronger and longer-lasting than thinner products composed of this material.Quality of the latex gloves
These latex gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not offer splash protection. These disposable gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grip" is a special attribute of these latex gloves. The Latex gloves deliver real added value because they protect against potentially fatal hazards or permanent adverse health effects, as they meet the definition of category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they prevent harmful substances and compounds from coming into contact with the skin and provide protection from cuts. In addition, the latex protective gloves have a CE marking that labels them as a class I medical device. This category primarily includes products that have no impact on the human body and pose very little risk. The latex gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they are not intended for use in sterile applications. The AQL value represents the quality standard of a batch or lot (acceptable quality limit). For medical disposable gloves, this value for tightness may be a maximum of 1.5, whereby the following generally applies: the lower the AQL value, the more convincing the production. These latex protective gloves meet the requirements with an AQL value of 1.5.Our suggestions for how latex gloves should be used
Latex disposable gloves are especially appropriate for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food and, consequently, are intended for food handling in general. Protection from microorganisms is a primary characteristic of these single-use gloves. The latex protective gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. We therefore recommend latex gloves for these sectors: other medicine, industry, hospitals, close-contact services, the food industry, education, government authorities and occupational safety. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is highly flexible and strong.
- The tactile sensitivity is excellent.
- It also keeps the skin safe from a wide range of acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price cannot be ruled out, as latex is a natural raw material that depends on harvest quantities and market prices.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in latex can trigger allergies if the gloves are worn often. Alongside the latex products themselves, the powder on the latex disposable gloves or finger cots (powdered version) is also a major trigger of allergies.
- Latex protective gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, therefore, they should not be used for handling such substances.
