01033-L Latex protective gloves, L, white, (latex paint)
We generally recommend white and blue latex gloves for other medicine, close-contact services, industry, occupational safety, government authorities, education, hospitals and the food industry. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex gloves, as whole latex gloves or sections of latex gloves can be found quickly and without much effort.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is obtained from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing single-use gloves. Its outstanding characteristics guarantee comfortable wear. Consequently, latex cannot yet be completely replaced, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are frequently found in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a more affordable alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "thin"
The thin material measures in at between 0.05 mm and no more than 0.09 mm in thickness, guaranteeing excellent tactile sensitivity. The breakthrough time is also somewhat longer than with ultra-thin single-use gloves and finger cots composed of the same material. This disposable glove or finger cot is also more reliable and durable.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex protective gloves from the Basic-Touch brand are "basic" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very reliable basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not offer splash protection. These disposable gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have first-rate slip-proof properties and are ideal when working with slippery tools or materials. This product features the special attribute "extra grip". The Latex protective gloves provide significant added value because they protect against potentially fatal hazards or permanent damage to health, as they meet the requirements for category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they protect the skin from harmful substances and compounds and offer protection from cuts. In addition, the latex protective gloves have a CE marking labelling them as a class I medical device. This category mainly encompasses products that have no impact on the human body and pose very little risk. These latex disposable gloves are only intended for non-sterile applications. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the maximum allowed number of defective (leaky) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For single-use medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability not to exceed 1.5 is prescribed in the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex gloves adhere to exactly. We recommend latex disposable gloves for the following applications
These latex gloves are approved for handling food. They are especially useful for dry food and watery food. Protection from microorganisms is a primary characteristic of these disposable gloves. The latex disposable gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B signifies that the latex disposable gloves provide protection against penetration in accordance with the important EN 374 standard. It defines the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. We therefore recommend latex protective gloves for the following sectors: other medicine, close-contact services, industry, occupational safety, government authorities, education, hospitals and the food industry. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is very stretchable and strong.
- The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
- Latex disposable gloves and finger cots are impervious to a wide variety of acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex in protecting the skin
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price are always possible, as latex is a natural raw material dependent on harvest quantities and market prices.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in latex can cause allergies if the gloves are used often. Alongside the latex products themselves, the powder on the latex protective gloves or finger cots (powdered version) is also a major trigger of allergies.
- Latex disposable gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, consequently, they should not be used for handling these substances.
