01036-M Latex protective gloves, M, green, (mint)

There are countless potential applications for latex gloves (green). From the doctor's office to the cosmetics counter, green latex gloves are in demand everywhere thanks to their colour, and they always complement the interior design. We recommend the green latex gloves in particular for industry, occupational safety, the food industry, other medicine, government authorities, education, hospitals and close-contact services

The properties of latex disposable gloves

Latex disposable gloves and finger cots are - unlike disposable gloves made of vinyl or nitrile - products that come directly from nature. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is extracted directly from rubber trees. Thanks to its excellent physical properties and comfortable fit, there is presently no true substitute for natural latex. Consequently, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Latex gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"

With a material thickness between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm, a finger cot or disposable glove of medium thickness is less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot of the same material. This single-use glove/finger cot is much sturdier and more durable than thinner products made of this material.

Quality of the latex disposable gloves

These latex protective gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not provide splash protection. The latex gloves gloves are fully textured, so they deliver a significantly better grip than other non-textured or partially textured disposable gloves. "Extra grip" is a special characteristic of these latex protective gloves. The Latex protective gloves deliver real added value because they protect the user against potentially fatal hazards or irreversible adverse health effects, as they fulfil the criteria for category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they protect the skin from hazardous substances and compounds and offer protection from cuts. Medical devices are classified in terms of the potential risk they pose to the patient. Class I includes items that pose little or no risk. And that is exactly the case for these latex disposable gloves. These latex gloves are only intended for non-sterile use. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the highest allowed number of defective (leaky) individual samples in a batch or lot (performance level/AQL). For disposable medical gloves, an AQL level for impermeability of no more than 1.5 is prescribed in the EN 455-1 standard - which the Latex gloves adhere to exactly.

We recommend latex gloves for the following applications

These latex disposable gloves are approved for handling food. They are especially useful for acidic food, dry food and watery food. The latex disposable gloves offer protection from microorganisms, meaning that they are resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B signifies that the latex gloves provide protection against penetration as defined by the important EN 374 standard. This lays out the minimum penetration time for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and watertight. Consequently, we recommend latex protective gloves for these sectors: industry, occupational safety, the food industry, other medicine, government authorities, education, hospitals and close-contact services. If you have questions about the possible uses of these latex protective gloves or are wondering if they are right for your needs, please feel free to get in touch with us via the contact form!

The benefits of latex

  • Latex is a purely natural product and is extremely flexible.
  • The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
  • Latex disposable gloves and finger cots also keep the wearer safe from many acids and alkalis.

The downsides of latex in protecting the hands

  • Crop yields and raw material prices have an immediate effect on the market price of latex, which can be inconsistent and unstable as a result.
  • If used frequently, latex is more likely to trigger allergies because of the water-soluble proteins it contains. Latex protective gloves are not recommended for allergy sufferers. The powder on powdered latex gloves is also potentially hazardous because it can irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
  • Latex disposable gloves and finger cots are not suitable for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can quickly penetrate the material.
