14-028-XS Latex gloves, XS, black
Latex disposable gloves in black have become essential in the catering industry. Black latex disposable gloves fulfil several purposes at once. The black latex disposable gloves not only protect the hands; they also ensure hygienic food handling by preventing contact with the skin.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex protective gloves and finger cots are - in contrast to vinyl or nitrile - products made of natural materials. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is harvested straight from rubber trees. Thanks to its exceptional physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is presently no true replacement for natural latex. Consequently, the primary fields of use for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this single-use product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), making it less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is significantly stronger and longer-lasting than thinner products made of this material.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex gloves from the Style by Med-Comfort brand are "premium" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very consistent basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be used on the left or the right hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not provide splash protection. These disposable gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex gloves have first-rate slip-proof properties and are ideal when working with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grip" is a special feature of these latex gloves. As category III personal protective equipment in accordance with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they provide protection from health hazards that are permanent or can lead to death. The fact that these single-use gloves are categorised as a class I medical device means they pose essentially zero risk to wearers or patients, as the latex gloves have no impact on the body when worn for brief periods. These latex protective gloves are only suitable for non-sterile applications. The production quality can be determined by the AQL value, i.e. the acceptable quality level. For disposable medical gloves, the AQL is 1.5 or less, which is exactly what these latex gloves meet. Our suggestions for how latex disposable gloves should be used
These latex protective gloves are approved for handling food. They are especially useful for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food. The latex disposable gloves offer protection from microorganisms, meaning that they are resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B indicates that the latex disposable gloves provide protection against permeation as defined by the important EN 374 standard. It lays out the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. We therefore recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, other medicine, industry, close-contact services, hospitals and the food industry. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex gloves or are wondering if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!Latex protective gloves: The advantages of latex
- Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is extremely stretchable and hard-wearing.
- Latex is comfortable on the skin and has almost no noticeable impact on tactile sensitivity.
- Latex protective gloves and finger cots are impervious to many acids and alkalis.
Latex disposable gloves: the disadvantages of latex
- Unfortunately, price fluctuations are always possible, as latex is a natural raw material that is tied to harvest yields and market prices.
- Latex gloves are known for triggering allergies because they contain water-soluble proteins that may irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory system, particularly in the case of powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
- Oils and solvents can rapidly penetrate latex disposable gloves and finger cots, so latex is not approved for handling these substances.
