01113-S Latex disposable gloves, S, blue
We tend to recommend white and blue latex gloves for education, the food industry, close-contact services, government authorities, hospitals, industry, occupational safety and other medicine. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex gloves, as whole latex gloves or sections of latex gloves can be found quickly and without much effort.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is extracted from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing single-use gloves. Its excellent properties ensure comfortable wear. Consequently, there is not yet a suitable replacement for latex, despite extensive research into alternative materials. Latex gloves are mainly used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex disposable gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is slightly thicker - this disposable product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), meaning that it is more resistant to punctures than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is considerably stronger and more durable than thinner products composed of this material.Quality of the latex gloves
These latex gloves from the Med-Comfort brand are of "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or top-notch "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be used on either hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not provide splash protection. These single-use gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex gloves have exceptional slip-proof properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grip" is a special feature of these latex protective gloves. Category I for personal protective equipment (according to the EU PPE Regulation) only includes work equipment that protects the user from minor health risks. These latex protective gloves meet this definition by protecting the user's skin from mildly caustic cleaning agents, for example. The fact that these disposable gloves are categorised as a class I medical device means they pose little or no risk to wearers or patients, as the latex gloves have no effect on the body when worn for brief periods. The latex protective gloves are non-sterile; consequently, they are not suitable for sterile applications. Our recommendations for how latex protective gloves should be used
Latex disposable gloves are especially appropriate for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food and, consequently, are intended for food handling in general. Consequently, we recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: education, the food industry, close-contact services, government authorities, hospitals, industry, occupational safety and other medicine. If you have questions about the potential applications of these latex gloves or are wondering if they are right for your needs, please feel free to contact us via the contact form! The benefits of latex
- Latex is a completely natural product and is highly elastic.
- The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
- It also provides protection against many acids and alkalis.
Latex protective gloves: the downsides of latex
- Crop volumes and commodity prices have an immediate impact on the market price of latex, which can be inconsistent and unpredictable as a result.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in latex can trigger allergies if the gloves are worn frequently. Alongside the latex products themselves, the powder on the latex protective gloves or finger cots (powdered version) is also a major cause of allergies.
- Latex protective gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, as a result, they should not be used for handling such substances.
