14-028-L Latex gloves, L, black
Latex gloves in black have become indispensable in the catering industry. Black latex gloves fulfil a number of purposes at once. The black latex gloves not only protect the hands; they also ensure sanitary food handling by preventing contact with the skin.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex is obtained from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing single-use gloves. Its excellent properties ensure comfortable wear. For this reason, latex cannot yet be fully replaced, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are frequently found in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "medium thickness"
The material is somewhat thicker - this disposable product is between 0.09 mm and 0.16 mm thick (medium thickness), meaning that it is less likely to puncture than a thin or ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot. This disposable glove/finger cot is much stronger and harder-wearing than thinner products made of this material.Quality of the latex disposable gloves
These latex disposable gloves from the Style by Med-Comfort brand are "premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very high basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be worn on the left or the right hand). It is not extra-long, which means it does not offer splash protection. The latex protective gloves gloves are fully textured, meaning they have a significantly more effective grip than other non-textured or partially textured disposable gloves. This product features the special characteristic "extra grip". As category III personal protective equipment in line with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they keep the user safe from health risks that are permanent or can lead to death. Latex disposable gloves are categorised as class I medical devices. This class includes medical items or products that have no impact on the body and usually pose minimal risk. These latex gloves are only suitable for non-sterile applications. The AQL value represents the quality standard of a batch or lot (acceptable quality limit). For medical disposable gloves, this value for tightness may be a maximum of 1.5, whereby the following generally applies: the lower the AQL value, the more convincing the production. These latex disposable gloves meet the requirements with an AQL value of 1.5.We recommend latex gloves for these applications
These latex gloves are approved for handling food. They are particularly intended for food containing alcohol, greasy food, acidic food, dry food and watery food. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these single-use gloves. The latex disposable gloves protect against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex protective gloves provide chemical protection (chemical protection type B) against penetration as defined by the EN 374 standard. EN 374 sets the minimum penetration time for a defined period of time and for a particular number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. Furthermore, the latex protective gloves are airtight and waterproof. Consequently, we recommend latex protective gloves for the following sectors: occupational safety, government authorities, education, other medicine, industry, close-contact services, hospitals and the food industry. - Latex is a natural product of rubber trees; it is very supple and hard-wearing.
- The tactile sensitivity is ideal.
- It also protects against a wide range of acids and alkalis.
Latex protective gloves: the downsides of latex
- Unfortunately, volatile prices are always a possibility, as latex is a natural raw material that depends on harvest yields and market prices.
- Latex protective gloves are known as a potential trigger for allergy sufferers because they contain water-soluble proteins that might aggravate the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, especially in the case of powdered disposable gloves or finger cots.
- Latex protective gloves and finger cots are not suitable for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can quickly permeate the material.
