01033-S Latex disposable gloves, S, white
We generally recommend white and blue latex gloves for occupational safety, close-contact services, industry, education, government authorities, the food industry, hospitals and other medicine. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade latex gloves, as complete latex gloves or sections of latex gloves are easy to find quickly.
The properties of latex disposable gloves
Latex protective gloves and finger cots are - unlike disposable gloves made of vinyl or nitrile - completely natural products. This is because the latex used in single-use gloves is harvested straight from rubber trees. Thanks to its excellent physical properties and its comfort for the wearer, there is presently no true replacement for natural latex. Therefore, the main areas of application for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and nursing homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Latex gloves in material thickness: "thin"
The thin material is between 0.05 and a maximum of 0.09 mm thick and guarantees exceptional tactile sensitivity. The breakthrough time of this single-use product is higher than it would be in an ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot made of similar material, and the product is also more reliable and harder-wearing.Quality of the latex protective gloves
These latex protective gloves from the Basic-Touch brand are "basic" quality. AMPri exclusively sells products of either a very solid basic standard of quality, a more upscale "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, disposable glove is ambidextrous (can be used on the left or the right hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not offer splash protection. The latex gloves gloves are fully textured, so they deliver a significantly more effective grip than other non-textured or partially textured disposable gloves. "Extra grip" is a special attribute of these latex disposable gloves. As category III personal protective equipment in accordance with the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they keep the user safe from health hazards that are permanent or can lead to death. Medical devices are classified in terms of the potential risk they pose to the patient. Class I includes items that pose little or no risk. And that is precisely the case for these latex disposable gloves. The latex protective gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they are not designated for use in sterile applications. The production quality can be determined by the AQL value, i.e. the acceptable quality level. For disposable medical gloves, the AQL is 1.5 or less, which is exactly what these latex protective gloves meet. Our recommendations for how latex disposable gloves should be used
These latex gloves are suitable for handling food. They are particularly useful for dry food and watery food. The latex gloves provide protection from microorganisms and are therefore resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B signifies that the latex protective gloves provide protection against permeation as defined by the crucial EN 374 standard. This states the minimum penetration time for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. Consequently, we recommend latex disposable gloves for these sectors: occupational safety, close-contact services, industry, education, government authorities, the food industry, hospitals and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex disposable gloves or are unsure if they are the right choice for you, please feel free to get in touch with us via the contact form! The advantages of latex in protecting the skin
- Latex is a purely natural product and is incredibly supple.
- The tactile sensitivity is very good.
- Latex gloves and finger cots are impervious to many acids and alkalis.
The downsides of latex as a hand protection material
- Unfortunately, volatile prices are always possible, as latex is a natural raw material dependent on harvest yields and market prices.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in latex can trigger allergies if the gloves are worn frequently. Alongside the latex products themselves, the powder on the latex gloves or finger cots (powdered version) is also a major trigger of allergies.
- Latex protective gloves and finger cots are not suitable for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can immediately permeate the material.
