The properties of latex protective gloves
Latex is a material that can be obtained naturally from rubber trees and used for manufacturing disposable gloves – in contrast to nitrile or vinyl, which are made from artificial raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural characteristics, so latex gloves fit the hand smoothly and are very comfortable to wear. Consequently, these single-use gloves (and finger cots) are used in fields where latex gloves are worn for many processes and everyday tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's surgeries and in care facilities, and also to some degree in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Quality of the latex disposable gloves
These latex single-use gloves come in very good classic quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products are long-lasting, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is uniquely high. Items of Classic quality are in a superior category, and Premium quality products are absolutely first-rate. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex single-use gloves are ambidextrous. These gloves are fingertip textured. Fingertip textured latex protective gloves have exceptional non-slip properties and are an ideal choice if you need to work with slippery tools or materials. The latex protective gloves are categorised as Md class i (medical product class). Our recommendation for you: Our latex single-use gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications
The latex gloves are non-sterile; consequently, they are not approved for sterile applications. Chemical predection type b signifies that the latex single-use gloves offer protection against penetration as defined by the important EN 374 standard. It states the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these disposable gloves. The latex gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex protective gloves are especially suitable for dry and watery foods and are thus fundamentally suitable for food. Consequently, we recommend latex gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these latex gloves or are unsure if they are right for your needs, please feel free to reach out to us via the contact form!Latex disposable gloves: the benefits of latex
- The greatest advantage of the natural material latex is its incredible elasticity and tear resistance.
- Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that hardly leads to any restrictions in tactile sensitivity.
- Latex gloves also keep the wearer safe from numerous acids and alkalis.
The disadvantages of latex as a hand protection material
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price are always a possibility, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest yields and market prices.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can trigger allergies if used frequently. In addition to the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered variants) is also a decisive trigger of allergies.
- Latex gloves are not suitable for handling oils or solvents, as these substances can immediately permeate the material.
