The properties of latex protective gloves
Latex is a substance that can be extracted naturally from rubber trees and used for producing disposable gloves – in contrast to nitrile or vinyl, which are made from synthetic raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural characteristics, so latex gloves fit the hand snugly and are extremely comfortable to wear. As a result, these disposable gloves (and finger cots) are used in fields where latex gloves are worn for numerous processes and everyday tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's offices and in care homes, and also to a certain degree in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a more affordable alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Quality that convinces: the latex single-use gloves
These latex disposable gloves come in very good basic quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products are durable, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is uniquely high. Items of Classic quality are in a superior category, and Premium quality items are absolutely first-rate. The powdered, non-sterile latex protective gloves are equally appropriate for left-handed and right-handed users, as they are designed for ambidextrous wear. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex single-use gloves have excellent non-slip properties and are the right choice for working with slippery tools or materials. "Extra grippy" is a special characteristic of these latex protective gloves. The latex single-use gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class). Our recommendation for you: Our latex single-use gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications
These latex gloves are only intended for non-sterile applications. The latex disposable gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) in accordance with the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a defined period of time and for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. What's more, the latex disposable gloves are airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these single-use gloves. The latex disposable gloves protect against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex gloves are especially suitable for acidic and dry foods and are thus fundamentally suitable for food. We therefore recommend latex gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex gloves or are wondering if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact form! The benefits of latex in protecting the skin
- Latex is a wholly natural product and incredibly flexible.
- The tactile sensation is ideal.
- It also keeps the skin safe from a wide range of acids and alkalis.
The disadvantages of latex
- The raw material from nature is dependent on harvest quantities and commodity prices. This can result in fluctuations in price.
- Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can cause allergies if worn frequently. Alongside the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered versions) is also a major cause of allergies.
- Latex gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, therefore, not suitable for handling such substances.
