Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

To determine the chest circumference, measure slightly below the armpits horizontally around the chest.

01012-S latex single-use gloves, white (latex paint), in size S

The latex protective gloves in white in size S are the right choice if you frequently need to use reliable, comfortable and functional latex protective gloves to keep you protected in your day-to-day work. White is a sleek, classic colour and is very popular. We suggest using the latex gloves in white for government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex single-use gloves

Latex gloves and finger cots are – in contrast to vinyl or nitrile – completely natural products. This is because the latex used in disposable gloves is obtained straight from rubber trees. Thanks to its excellent physical properties and comfortable fit, there is currently no suitable substitute for natural latex. Therefore, the primary fields of use for disposable latex gloves include clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as food production and processing facilities (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a cost-effective alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality that convinces: the latex protective gloves

The Basic-Plus brand latex disposable gloves are classed as "Basic" quality. AMPri only offers products with a very solid level of Basic quality, a better Classic quality and an exceptional Premium quality. You can wear the powdered, non-sterile latex disposable gloves on either hand, as the fit is designed for ambidextrous use. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are ideal when working with slippery instruments or materials. The latex single-use gloves features the special characteristic "extra grippy". The latex disposable gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendation for you: Our latex single-use gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications

The latex single-use gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they are not suitable for sterile applications. Chemical predection type b signifies that the latex gloves provide protection from permeation according to the crucial EN 374 standard. It lays out the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of defined test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and watertight. The latex protective gloves offer protection from microorganisms, meaning that they are resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex protective gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for acidic and dry foods. Consequently, we recommend latex single-use gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex single-use gloves or are not sure if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!

Latex protective gloves: the benefits of latex

  • Latex is a completely natural product and extremely elastic.
  • The tactile sensation is ideal.
  • It also offers protection against numerous acids and alkalis.

Latex gloves: the disadvantages of latex

  • Unfortunately, volatile prices cannot be ruled out, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest quantities and market prices.
  • Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can cause allergies if used regularly. Alongside the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered versions) is also a serious allergen carrier.
  • Oils and solvents can rapidly penetrate latex gloves, which is why they are not suitable for handling such substances.
