01260-XL Vinyl disposable gloves, XL, white, (clear)
We recommend blue and white vinyl gloves for close-contact services, industry and the food industry. For the food industry, we particularly recommend blue, food-grade vinyl gloves, as whole vinyl gloves or sections of vinyl gloves can be found quickly and without much effort.
The properties of vinyl disposable gloves
Unlike latex gloves, vinyl gloves (base material: polyvinyl chloride, also known as PVC) are free from allergenic proteins; they are also a low-priced alternative to latex and nitrile. Vinyl gloves are recommended when single-use gloves need to be changed frequently. The material can also be used when handling acids, alkalis and other low-risk substances. Vinyl does not change under atmospheric influences, so latex gloves are suitable for simple care duties, for limited use in laboratories, in the food industry and for cleaning work that does not involve contact with concentrated chemicals. Most vinyl gloves today do not contain the potentially harmful phthalates diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and diethylhexyl adipate (DEHA), which are plasticisers for PVC, and they generally do not contain any allergens, either. These vinyl protective gloves are DOP/DEHP free.
Vinyl protective gloves in material thickness: "thin"
The thin material is between 0.05 and a maximum of 0.09 mm in thickness and ensures exceptional tactile sensitivity. The breakthrough time of this disposable product is higher than it would be in an ultra-thin disposable glove or finger cot made of similar material, and the product is also more reliable and longer-lasting.Quality of the vinyl disposable gloves
These vinyl disposable gloves from the Eco-Plus brand are "classic" quality. AMPri only sells products of either a very consistent basic standard of quality, a more deluxe "classic" quality or superior "premium" quality. The powder-free, non-sterile, single-use glove is ambidextrous (can be worn on either hand). It does not have additional length, which means it does not provide splash protection. This product features the special attribute "dOP/DEHP free". As category III personal protective equipment as defined by the PPE Regulation ((EU) 2016/425), they protect against health risks that are irreversible or potentially fatal. Vinyl disposable gloves are categorised as class I medical devices. This class comprises products that have no impact on the body and ordinarily pose minimal risk. These vinyl gloves are only suitable for non-sterile applications. The AQL value represents the quality standard of a batch or lot (acceptable quality limit). For medical disposable gloves, this value for tightness may be a maximum of 1.5, whereby the following generally applies: the lower the AQL value, the more convincing the production. These vinyl gloves meet the requirements with an AQL value of 1.5.We recommend vinyl protective gloves for these applications
These vinyl disposable gloves are appropriate for handling food. They are particularly intended for acidic food, dry food and watery food. The vinyl disposable gloves offer protection from microorganisms and are therefore resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. Chemical protection type B signifies that the vinyl protective gloves offer protection against penetration according to the important EN 374 standard. This states the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of particular test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. We therefore recommend vinyl protective gloves for the following sectors: close-contact services, industry and the food industry. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these vinyl protective gloves or are wondering if they are the right choice for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the contact form!Vinyl disposable gloves: The advantages of vinyl
- Vinyl is free from allergens and sensitising substances, so it can also be used by allergy sufferers.
- The soft and satiny vinyl material is very comfortable on the skin.
- It offers dependable protection, even when working with skin irritants, because vinyl provides excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and other chemicals (with the exception of concentrated chemicals).
The downsides of vinyl in protecting the skin
- In terms of how accurately they fit, vinyl protective gloves gloves cannot compare to nitrile disposable gloves or latex disposable gloves.
- Vinyl protective gloves also do not have much stretch.
- In food processing, vinyl protective gloves can only be used to a limited extent, as they are not intended for use with oily or fatty foods. Single-use vinyl protective gloves may be treated with fat-soluble plasticisers. Plasticisers (phthalates) such as DEHP (diethylhexyl phthalate) or DEHA (diethylhexyl adipate) are a potential health hazard.
