Vinyl
Vinyl gloves (base material polyvinyl chloride, also PVC) can be used when handling acids, alkalis and other chemicals with a low risk factor. Vinyl gloves also do not change due to atmospheric influences. Unlike a latex glove, a vinyl glove is free of allergenic proteins and is an inexpensive alternative to latex and nitrile. Vinyl gloves are recommended if the gloves need to be changed frequently. However, vinyl has less elasticity, fit and abrasion resistance than materials such as latex or nitrile. Most vinyl gloves today do not contain the potentially harmful phthalates (plasticisers) diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and diethylhexyl adipate -DEHA- (plasticisers)
