Declaration of Conformity is the general term for the document in which a manufacturer declares that their product meets all applicable regulatory requirements. In the EU context, the correct term is EU Declaration of Conformity (EU DoC). It is a prerequisite for CE marking.
Degradation
Degradation is the harmful change in glove material caused by chemical contact – visible as discolouration, swelling, cracking, or embrittlement. The degradation test is governed by EN ISO 374-4 and assesses whether the glove retains its mechanical protective properties after chemical exposure.
Disposable Glove
A single-use glove (disposable glove) is a glove intended for one use only, after which it must be discarded. The 'not reusable' symbol (per EN ISO 15223-1) is mandatory on packaging. Medical single-use gloves per EN 455 are the most common product in this category.
