The properties of latex protective gloves
Latex is a substance that can be extracted naturally from rubber trees and used for manufacturing single-use gloves – in contrast to nitrile or vinyl, which are made from artificial raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural properties, so latex gloves fit the hand snugly and are very comfortable to wear. For this reason, these disposable gloves (and finger cots) are used in areas where latex gloves are worn for many processes and daily tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's surgeries and in care facilities, and also to some degree in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is an inexpensive alternative to vinyl or nitrile.Quality that convinces: the latex protective gloves
These latex disposable gloves come in very good premium quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products are durable, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is uniquely high. Products labelled as Classic quality are in a higher category, and Premium quality items are absolutely first-rate. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex disposable gloves are equally suitable for left-handed and right-handed users, as they are designed for ambidextrous wear. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex protective gloves have excellent non-slip properties and are the right choice for working with slippery instruments or materials. The latex single-use gloves features the special attribute "extra grippy". The latex gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class). We recommend latex protective gloves for the following applications
These latex single-use gloves are only suitable for non-sterile use. The latex single-use gloves provide chemical protection (chemical predection type b) in line with the EN 374 standard. According to EN 374, the minimum penetration time must not be undercut for a certain length of time and for a certain number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. In addition, the latex single-use gloves are airtight and waterproof. Protection from microorganisms is a primary characteristic of these single-use gloves. The latex gloves protect the wearer against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The latex gloves are especially suitable for acidic, dry, and watery foods and are thus suitable for food. Consequently, we recommend latex disposable gloves for the following sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex disposable gloves or are unsure if they are the right choice for you, please feel free to get in touch with us via the contact form!Latex disposable gloves: the advantages of latex
- Latex is a wholly natural product and highly stretchable.
- The tactile sensation is ideal.
- It also protects against a wide range of acids and alkalis.
The disadvantages of latex
- Unfortunately, fluctuations in price cannot be ruled out, as the natural raw material is reliant on harvest yields and market prices.
- Latex is more likely to trigger allergies with frequent use because of the water-soluble proteins. Latex gloves are not recommended for people with allergies. In the powdered version, the powder is also a potential hazard.
- Latex gloves are oil- and solvent-permeable and, therefore, not suitable for handling such substances.
