Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

The sterile surgeon's gloves in white in size 8,5 are exactly the right choice if you frequently have to use reliable, comfortable and functional sterile surgeon's gloves to keep you safe in your day-to-day work. White is a sleek, classic colour and is very popular. We suggest using the sterile surgical gloves in white for hospitals, body-related services, and other medicine.

The properties of sterile surgeon's gloves

Latex is obtained from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in producing disposable gloves. The sterile surgeon's gloves shine with outstanding characteristics that promise comfortable wear. Consequently, latex cannot yet be fully replaced, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are primarily used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a low-cost alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality that convinces: the sterile surgical gloves

At AMPri, you can be sure that all our products are of proven high quality. Whether you select our very consistent Basic quality, better Classic quality or Premium quality that meets the highest standards: You can rest assured that all our items will meet your needs. These sterile surgeon's gloves are of premium quality. The sterile surgeon's gloves gloves are fully textured, meaning they have a significantly more effective grip than other non-textured or partially textured gloves. "Extra grippy" is a special characteristic of these sterile surgical gloves. The sterile surgeon's gloves are rated as Md class ii a (medical product class).

Our suggestions for how sterile surgeon's gloves should be used

Of course, the sterile surgeon's gloves can be used without hesitation as part of a strictly sterile equipment during operations on the body. Chemical predection type c indicates that the sterile surgeon's gloves provide protection against penetration in accordance with the important EN 374 standard. It lays out the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and watertight. The sterile surgical gloves provide protection from microorganisms and are consequently resistant to viruses, bacteria and fungi. However, it is important to note that these sterile surgeon's gloves are not suitable for contact with food. Consequently, we recommend sterile surgical gloves for these sectors: hospital, body-related services, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the potential uses of these sterile surgical gloves or are unsure if they are right for your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via the contact form!

Sterile surgeon's gloves: the benefits of latex

  • The natural product latex is very supple and hard-wearing.
  • Latex provides a pleasant wearing sensation that hardly leads to any restrictions in tactile sensitivity.
  • It also protects against a wide range of acids and alkalis.

The disadvantages of latex

  • Unfortunately, volatile prices are always a possibility, as the natural raw material is dependent on harvest yields and market prices.
  • Latex is more likely to trigger allergies with frequent use because of the water-soluble proteins. Sterile surgery gloves are not recommended for allergy sufferers. In the powdered variant, the powder is also a potential hazard.
  • Oils and solvents can immediately penetrate sterile surgery gloves, so they are not suitable for handling such substances.
