Our disposable gloves made of vinyl are partly suitable for food (without greasy food), partly resistant to chemicals, in most cases personal protective equipment category I and medical device class I.
Vinyl
Field of Application
Vinyl (base material polyvinyl chloride, also PVC) is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals. It also remains unchanged by atmospheric influences. Unlike latex, a vinyl glove is free from allergy-causing proteins. It is a cost-effective alternative to latex and nitrile and is recommended when gloves need to be frequently changed. Vinyl material is very soft and pleasant on the skin. However, vinyl has lower elasticity and fit compared to materials like latex or nitrile. Most vinyl gloves today are free from potentially harmful phthalates such as diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and diethylhexyl adipate (DEHA) (plasticizers).
In summary, vinyl gloves are a practical and cost-efficient solution for many applications requiring basic protection. Their versatility and latex-free advantages make them a popular choice in many industries where basic protection is needed, such as:
• For cleaning tasks (without contact with concentrated chemicals)
• For simple care tasks
• For use in the food sector (food must be fat-free as fatty foods could be contaminated by any plasticizers present)
• Limited use in laboratories
AMPri offers only products with very good basic quality, higher-end classic quality, and impressive premium quality. The non-powdered and non-sterile disposable vinyl gloves are ambidextrous. Accordingly, they are classified in Category III according to the PPE regulation. Vinyl disposable gloves ensure hand protection, for example, from mildly aggressive cleaning agents. Additionally, these vinyl gloves are Class I medical devices. This classification generally includes products that have no impact on the human body and pose a very low risk. The production quality can be determined by the AQL value, the acceptable quality limit. For medical disposable gloves, this is at most 1.5 for impermeability, which these vinyl gloves correctly meet.
Other brands of vinyl gloves in various sizes available from us include Med-Comfort and Eco-Plus.
Advantage and Disadvantage oft he Product
Advantage | Disadvantage |
---|---|
Free from allergy-causing proteins and sensitizing substances. | Significantly less form-fitting than latex or nitrile / Lower elasticity. |
Soft and pleasant on the skin. | Much less elastic than latex or nitrile. |
Provides fairly reliable protection even when working with skin-irritating substances, as vinyl is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals (except concentrated chemicals). | In food processing, vinyl gloves can only be used in a few production types, as they are not suitable for oily and fatty foods. Some vinyl gloves may contain plasticizers that are fat-soluble. Some plasticizers, such as phthalates like DEHP (diethylhexyl phthalate) or DEHA (diethylhexyl adipate), are potentially harmful to health. |
