PE
Polyethylene (PE) is a semi-crystalline and non-polar thermoplastic. In its basic form, polyethylene is colourless (translucent) to milky white, and can be dyed to any desired colour. Polyethylene is divided into two main types: High-pressure PE (LDPE or soft PE) is soft and particularly flexible as well as cold-resistant up to -50 °C and heat-resistant up to a maximum of +60 °C. The second variant is low-pressure PE (HDPE or hard PE), which is stiffer but more abrasion-resistant than soft PE. It is characterised by cold resistance up to -50 °C and heat resistance up to +90 °C.
