Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

To determine the chest circumference, measure slightly below the armpits horizontally around the chest.

01037-S latex disposable gloves, white (latex paint), in size S

The latex single-use gloves in white in size S are precisely the right choice if you regularly have to use reliable, comfortable and functional latex single-use gloves to keep you safe at your job. White is a simple, timeless colour and is suitable for many uses. We recommend white latex protective gloves for applications in the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex gloves

Latex is extracted from rubber trees, making it the only natural material used in manufacturing disposable gloves. The latex protective gloves shine with exceptional characteristics that promise comfortable wear. That is why there is not yet a suitable replacement for latex, despite extensive research into substitute materials. Latex gloves are mainly used in clinics and health care facilities, doctors' or dentists' surgeries and care homes, as well as in food production and processing (to a lesser extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferable here). Latex is a more affordable alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality of the latex single-use gloves

The Med-Comfort brand latex disposable gloves are classed as "Premium" quality. AMPri only distributes products with a very high level of Basic quality, a superior Classic quality and an impressive Premium quality. The unpowdered, non-sterile latex gloves are equally appropriate for left-handed and right-handed users, as they can be worn ambidextrously. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured latex single-use gloves have first-rate non-slip properties and are ideal when working with slippery instruments or materials. The latex single-use gloves features the special attribute "extra grippy". The latex gloves are rated as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendation for you: Our latex single-use gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications

These latex gloves are only intended for non-sterile use. Chemical predection type b signifies that the latex disposable gloves provide protection from penetration in accordance with the crucial EN 374 standard. It defines the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of specified test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and waterproof. The latex protective gloves provide protection from microorganisms and are therefore impervious to viruses, bacteria and fungi. These latex single-use gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for acidic, dry, and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend latex disposable gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have any questions about the possible uses of these latex disposable gloves or are unsure if they are right for your needs, please feel free to get in touch with us via the contact form!

The benefits of latex in protecting the skin

  • Latex is a completely natural product and highly flexible.
  • Latex guarantees an optimal tactile sensation.
  • Latex gloves also protect the skin from a wide range of acids and alkalis.

Latex single-use gloves: the disadvantages of latex

  • Crop yields and raw material prices have an immediate effect on market prices, which can be inconsistent and unstable and fluctuating as a result.
  • Latex gloves are known as allergenic because they contain water-soluble proteins that may irritate respiratory mucous membranes, especially in the case of the powdered single-use gloves or finger cots.
  • Latex gloves can be permeated by oil and solvents and, as a result, not suitable for handling such substances.
