Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

To determine the chest circumference, measure slightly below the armpits horizontally around the chest.

Body height is determined from the highest point of the head to the side of the foot.

01113-XL latex disposable gloves, blue, size XL

You can rely on these latex disposable gloves in blue. The latex disposable gloves (size XL) offer strong protection against contaminants and health hazards, are sterile and help you work safely and easily. Blue food-grade latex protective gloves are especially well-suited for applications in the food industry or for food handling in general. Since there are very few naturally occurring blue foodstuffs, the colour is always easy to spot. This makes it easy to find gloves, or parts of them, that have been unintentionally dropped, without leaving any residue behind. Of course, there are also many more potential areas of application for the gloves: they are suitable for use in the government authorities, education, dentistry, industry, body-related services, hospitals, food service, and other medicine.

The properties of latex gloves

Latex is a substance that can be harvested naturally from rubber trees and used for manufacturing disposable gloves – in contrast to nitrile or vinyl, which are made from artificial raw materials. Latex also has outstanding natural properties, so latex gloves fit the hand smoothly and are extremely comfortable to wear. Consequently, these disposable gloves (and finger cots) are used in fields where latex gloves are worn for numerous processes and daily tasks, such as in clinics and health care facilities, in doctor's or dentist's offices and in nursing homes, and also to some degree in food production and processing (to a limited extent, as cross-contamination can occur; nitrile is preferred here). Latex is a more affordable alternative to vinyl or nitrile.

Quality that convinces: the latex single-use gloves

At AMPri, you can be certain that all our products are of reliably high quality. Whether you select our very consistent Basic quality, better Classic quality or first-rate Premium quality: You can rest assured that all our items will live up to your expectations. These latex single-use gloves are of premium quality. You can wear the unpowdered, non-sterile latex protective gloves on your left or right hand, as the fit is designed for ambidextrous use. The latex protective gloves gloves are fully textured, so they deliver a much more effective grip than other non-textured or partially textured gloves. "Extra grippy" is a special characteristic of these latex gloves. The latex protective gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class).

Our recommendation for you: Our latex single-use gloves are ideal for a wide range of applications

The latex protective gloves are non-sterile; consequently, they are not intended for use in sterile applications. These latex single-use gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods. Consequently, we recommend latex disposable gloves for these sectors: authority, education, dental, industry, body-related services, hospital, food industry, and other medicine. If you have questions about the possible uses of these latex disposable gloves or are not sure if they are the right choice for you, please feel free to reach out to us via the contact form!

The advantages of latex

  • Latex is a completely natural product and highly stretchable.
  • The tactile sensation is very good.
  • Latex gloves are impervious to a wide variety of acids and alkalis.

The disadvantages of latex in protecting the hands

  • The raw material from nature is reliant on harvest yields and raw material prices. This can result in price fluctuations.
  • Water-soluble proteins contained in the latex can trigger allergies if used often. In addition to the latex protective products themselves, the powder of the latex gloves (in the case of powdered variants) is also a major cause of allergies.
  • Oils and solvents can immediately penetrate latex gloves, which is why they are not suitable for handling such substances.
