Measurement and size tables for disposable gloves, shoes, anti-slip socks and clothing

Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

If you are unsure or are wavering between two sizes, you can request samples in both sizes from us free of charge and without obligation. This way you can try out which size feels best on your hands and with which glove the tactile sensation is best before you decide on a box or carton in the corresponding size.

Is your disposable medical glove also a PPE glove?

Your disposable medical glove also belongs to the PPE glove category and therefore has a special regulation of dimensions.

We have developed an individual size chart exclusively for you.

01196-S nitrile surgeon's gloves, blue, size S

The blue nitrile gloves in size S are real all-rounders when you need your working environment to be hygienic, safe and fast. The nitrile gloves come in a timeless blue colour. We recommend the use of nitrile disposable gloves in blue for the government authorities, education, industry, body-related services, hospitals, and food service applications. The food industry, especially, benefits from the bright colour of the gloves, as there are very few naturally occurring blue foodstuffs – and whilst the gloves protect the hands, they can also be found easily in case they are lost by mistake.

The properties of nitrile examination gloves

Nitrile single-use gloves fit like a second skin and offer a high degree of flexibility during use. The material nitrile is a synthetic rubber (elastic polymers). Nitrile is extremely elastic and tear-resistant. Single-use gloves made of nitrile keep tight up to the tear limit and thus do not become holey or porous when overstretched. Disposable nitrile gloves have a significant resistance to oils, greases and solvents and provide dependable protection against viruses and germs, so they can be used as part of personal protective equipment in many areas and industries, such as clinics and health care facilities, care of the elderly and sick, and in doctors' or dentists' surgeries, but also in food production and processing, for short cleaning activities, in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and in hairdressing, cosmetics and tattoo studios.

Quality of the nitrile examination gloves

These nitrile examination gloves are available in solid premium quality. It is important to us at AMPri that all our products are reliable, which is why even our Basic standard of quality is particularly high. Items classed as Classic quality are in a superior category, and Premium quality items are absolutely top-notch. The unpowdered, non-sterile nitrile single-use gloves are equally suitable for left-handed and right-handed users, as they are designed for ambidextrous wear. These gloves are fully textured. Fully textured nitrile examination gloves have exceptional slip-proof properties and are the right choice for working with slippery tools or materials. The nitrile gloves features the special characteristic "extra grippy". The nitrile examination gloves are labelled as Md class i (medical product class). A small AQL value is proof of an excellent standard of quality, and these nitrile cleaning gloves offer a top-notch AQL value of 0.65. The AQL (acceptable quality limit) defines the maximum number of defective disposable gloves in a batch.

Our recommendations for how nitrile cleaning gloves should be used

The nitrile surgeon's gloves are non-sterile; as a result, they are not approved for sterile applications. Chemical predection type a signifies that the nitrile surgeon's gloves provide protection from permeation according to the important EN 374 standard. It lays out the minimum penetration time for a specific number of chemicals from a list of particular test chemicals. Type A = 6 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type B = 3 test chemicals/30 minutes, Type C = 1 test chemical/10 minutes. The gloves are also airtight and watertight. Protection from microorganisms is a main feature of these single-use gloves. The nitrile surgeon's gloves keep the user safe from viruses, bacteria and fungi. These nitrile single-use gloves are basically suitable for handling food. They are especially suitable for alcoholic, acidic, dry, and watery foods. We therefore recommend nitrile examination gloves for these sectors: authority, education, industry, body-related services, hospital, and food industry. If you have questions about the possible uses of these nitrile examination gloves or are wondering if they are right for your needs, please feel free to contact us via the contact form!

The advantages of nitrile

  • Nitrile is highly flexible, it can be stretched to more than 500% of its dimensions. Particularly outstanding: nitrile boasts a so-called "material memory" and thus conforms to the shape of the hand in a tailor-made way.
  • Nitrile gloves are stronger than other disposable gloves made of different materials, so they are also safer. They also provide optimal grip.
  • The chemical resistance allows for a wide range of applications. It is also the ideal alternative to latex for allergy sufferers as nitrile is protein-free.
