Vulcanisation is the process by which thermoplastic natural rubbers (latex) or synthetic rubbers (nitrile) are converted into elastomeric plastics (rubbers). During vulcanisation, covalent cross-links are formed between the macromolecules of the rubbers so that the molecules can no longer move freely against each other, resulting in elastic behaviour.
Vulcanisation Accelerator
Vulcanisation accelerators (accelerators) are chemical substances which are used, among other things, in the production of latex and nitrile gloves. They cause the vulcanisation of the material to take place faster and at lower temperatures.
