Determining the right size for disposable gloves

Why is the right size so important for disposable gloves?

Disposable gloves that are too tight can be very uncomfortable on the hands, while disposable gloves that are too large worsen the sense of touch and thus also hinder work.

Correct determination of the size of the PPE disposable glove

PPE disposable gloves are specified in sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

To determine the correct size of your disposable gloves, all you need is a flexible measuring tape and the illustration below. The correct size of your disposable gloves is important so that you can reliably carry out precise work with the disposable gloves over a longer period of time. First measure the circumference of your hand at the widest point with a tape measure. This is usually at about the level of the knuckles. The tape measure should rest on the skin, but not press against the hand or cut into the skin.

Now read off the circumference of your hand and use the diagram to determine the appropriate glove size.

Correctly determine the size of the disposable medical glove

Medical disposable gloves are specified in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.

To determine the correct size of a disposable medical glove, the width of the palm from the beginning of the index finger to the lowest point of the little finger is used. Usually, the width of the disposable glove is measured rather than the palm.

081205-11 Work safety gloves from SolidSafety in black/blue (size XXL)

The assembly gloves from SolidSafety offer the best possible protection and extremely comfortable wear. The gloves come in "Premium" quality. AMPri only sells products of a very reliable "Basic" of quality, a more upmarket "Classic" quality or impressive "Premium" quality. Nylon was used to manufacture these gloves. Nylon offers the benefit of making gloves particularly stretchy, which ensures an excellent fit with high tactile sensitivity. The colour of the gloves (black/blue) is discreet and classic, so they are perfect for use in any setting. The palm of the gloves is coated with polyurethane, which delivers a reliable grip on dry objects. The gloves are also durable and long-lasting. Rapidly put on and take off the assembly gloves thanks to the useful knitted cuff. The gloves achieved a very good protection rating of level 3 (scale from 0 to 4) in abrasion-resistance tests, meaning that they are particularly hard-wearing. For testing in accordance with DIN , the gloves have to withstand a rotating disc covered with sandpaper. Protection class 2 has to make it through 500 to 2000 revolutions, protection class 3 between 2000 and 8000 revolutions. In terms of tear resistance, the gloves achieved a rating of 2 (scale of 0 to 4). For a rating of 1, the gloves need to be able to resist a tensile force of 10 Newtons or more during the testing process. This product has received a rating of 1 in puncture-resistance testing in line with DIN , which indicates a lower puncture resistance. For this test, a nail is pressed onto the sample glove at differing levels of force. Gloves with a rating of 0 must be able to withstand a force of 0 to 20 Newtons; for a rating of 1, that number rises to 20 to 60 Newtons.

The gloves are treated with the Sanitized® hygiene function, which makes an essential contribution to hygiene and odour management. The treatment with Sanitized® additives has a lasting effect on the safety and hygiene of the gloves by reducing the growth of bacteria and mould, especially when the gloves are used more than once. This helps to reduce the spread of germs. These properties make them suitable for the following sectors in particular: industry, close-contact services, education, government authorities and occupational safety.
