081004-8 Food work glove, Classic, M, yellow

Whether you are working with dry, acidic or watery foodstuffs, the food work gloves from SolidSafety in "Classic" are ideal for industrial kitchens and are specially adapted to the needs of the catering industry. The material is cotton/polyester, which makes the gloves breathable, perspiration-absorbent and gentle on the skin. With their yellow colour, the gloves have a particularly eye-catching design and are always highly visible. As a result of the material they are made of, the gloves are appropriate for handling the following foods: dry, acidic and watery foods. As you can see, these gloves are truly versatile and are safe to bring into contact with a wide variety of foodstuffs in the food and catering sector, which makes them particularly useful. The coating consists entirely of latex. The piping closure is easy to close with just a flick of the wrist and can be individually adapted to the wearer for a snug fit. In abrasion-resistance tests, the protective gloves were classified as level 0 (scale from 0 to 4). To measure the abrasion resistance, the test sample is pressed onto a rotating pad covered with sandpaper. Gloves that withstand up to 100 revolutions are classified as level 0; test samples that make it through up to 500 revolutions reach level 1. In terms of tear resistance, the gloves earned a rating of 1 (the scale ranges from 0 to 4). For a rating of 1, the gloves must resist a tensile force of 10 Newtons or more during the testing process. This product has received a rating of 0 in puncture-resistance tests, which indicates a lower puncture resistance. During the testing process, a nail is pressed onto the sample glove at differing levels of force. Products with a rating of 0 have to be able to withstand a force of 0 to 20 Newtons; for a rating of 1, that number increases to 20 to 60 Newtons.

The reusable work safety gloves offer significant added value in the sense that they protect against deadly hazards or irreversible adverse health effects, as they meet the definition of category III personal protective equipment (PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425). Among other things, they prevent harmful substances and compounds from coming into contact with the skin and provide protection against cuts. Consequently, the gloves comply with the European and international standards EN 388, EN 374, EN 420 and ISO 21420. To sum up, these gloves deliver solid protective features. Besides the attributes mentioned, the following special features provide added protection: chemical protection and fleece lining. With these features, they are suitable for the following sectors: industry, close-contact services, the food industry, education, government authorities and occupational safety.
