Since our hands constantly come into contact with pathogens, proper hand washing is the easiest way to prevent infections.
How do you wash your hands properly?
- Wet your hands under running water, make sure the water temperature is comfortable for you
- Soap your hands sufficiently (this process should take about 40 to 60 seconds), distribute the soap or washing lotion thoroughly
- Circle your fingertips over your palms and place your hands one on top of the other to wash both backs of your hands and the spaces between your fingers thoroughly, one after the other
- Rinse your hands thoroughly under running water. Dry your hands very thoroughly. No area of the palms or fingers should be damp any more.
